LAGG Distillery, Single Malt Whisky, Lagg Palo Cortado Sherry Finish – 56,2%

This Single Malt comes from the Lagg Distillery, located on the Isle of Arran, and is made with water from the distillery’s own well, which is used for both mashing and distillation. The malt, smoked over peat at 50 PPM, is double distilled and then matured in ex-bourbon casks. The whisky is then matured for 6 months in ex-Palo Cortado sherry casks from the Jerez region of Spain, hand-selected by Graham Omand. As a result, the smoky facets of the Lagg Distillery were ideally married with the cask flavours of the rare sherry casks. The Lagg whisky was bottled without chill-filtration and without the addition of colouring agents at an alcohol content of 56.2% vol.
